33: Tecknowlogy Vol. 10
July 28, 2011 07:31 AM PDT
Right on time for the weekend! And in spirit of our flooded event last Friday I present you with a dark Techno episode. I Had a great time playing for Techno lovers, and hope to see more of you guys on Sept 30th for Linear 1.1 =) This mix starts out with some great kicks and basslines, then builds and builds until the flood gates open up and releases the higher spectrum of sounds. I have a few favorites in this mix... First off I discovered a new favorite artist Steve Parker. I have a couple of his tracks on the mix and they're just plain nasty especially track 8 "Diode". The next one I will comment on is track 3 "Pendulum" it's by an artist by the name of Galan, who is new to me. This track is pretty minimal but has great driving kicks, glitches and sounds. Will definitely be looking out for his work in the future. You gotta love the way Techno gets into your head. I say this all the time but the moment you learn to appreciate Techno your EDM journey is complete. What I mean by that is you are able to be open and receptive to all EDM music. There is always that point with music where you just get it. For example, when pop music listeners hear house music they usually think "OMG, what is that? Is that even music? It all sounds the same..." But thanks to artists like David Guetta, Deadmau5, shows like Jersey Shore, etc... American pop culture finally accepted "House Music" as a form of music. This is good and bad... good because more people are listening and being exposed to EDM, bad because where there is money to be made the quality of the music/art gets compromised IMO. So where am I going with all this? Listen to Techno!!! lol... Track List: 1. Interpersonal Relationship (Original Mix) - Jesper Dahlback
I know some of you are like "Gaaahhh another Techno episode". But honestly I've been doing a lot of Beatport digging and I just can't seem to find that many tracks I like within Progressive or Electro. It's not that I don't enjoy doing them anymore, but I usually need at least 50 tracks in my playlist to work with in order to make a mix. Look for the next one to be Progressive. Thanks for Listening,

Just in time for the beaches of Ibiza! This mix was highly inspired by my experiences last year chilling at Playa d'en Bossa. On a hot summer day where the Sun is shining I feel that Tech-House is most appropriate for the setting, this mix is beach approved and will get you dancing. I love the way Tech-House makes you groove, it's sexy and fun at the same time. Although all the tracks are great there are few notable ones from this mix... First there is "The Tide" remixed by Joris Voorn, I love the main sound of this track, it's a weird pulse sound that fits perfectly with the beats. Then you have a few back to back by Max Bett. This guy definitely fits in with everyone on Form (Popof's label). Finally you have "Devil Monkey" by Popof, again this guy never ceases to amaze me with his production skills. I would love to hear him DJ, it's always great to hear your favorite producer destroy the decks. Track List: 1. Funky (Original Mix) - DJ Wady
So I just got back from EDC this week and let me tell you, what an experience! The talent, colorfully fun crowd, lights, laser, videos, sound, and all the stages were at their best. My only gripe was that they didn't have any Techno DJs on Sunday. As you know I'm partial to Techno, but I made the most of Sweedish House Mafia, Afrojack and Dada Life. This event is definitely one to check out, it may change your life =) This time I really have no idea what's coming up next. Normally I have a lot of music sorting to do but I haven't purchased anything in the last few weeks! I may just conjure up a Techno, old-school house, or who knows what kind of mix. Thanks for Listening,

And we're back with another great Techno episode. Unfortunately I was not able to attend DEMF this year but I hear that it was EPIC! I totally missed out on all the parties, music, and more importantly the vibe. But I can say that I'm able to share some great Techno tracks with you in this mix today. This episode is banging and it takes you on a journey deep inside to the darkest parts of your mind/soul. It's ok to be dark sometimes... embrace your Darkside, remember there is no light without darkness, both co-exist somewhat peacefully. Track List: 1. Transfer Function (Original Mix) - Jesper Dahlback
With Summer here finally in Chicago, the warm weather reminds of the beaches of Ibiza. I'll be starting a new series called Bora Bora Beach Bar. It will consist of groovy Tech-House sounds that you would hear there during the day, with the exception of the frequent sounds of airplanes flying overhead. Thanks for Listening,

Happy 30th Episode! To tell you the truth when I first started this podcast I never thought I would make it this far, but I'm really enjoying this and hope to make it to 100 episodes one day. To celebrate number 30 I have a great Progressive House mix for you to indulge yourselves with. Dive right into this one as it starts out very smooth and chill like the morning of a still lake. The energy continues to build and leaves you with a "Big Fat Kiss" wanting more... My favorite song is hands down track 8 Rift (Andrew Bayer Remix) - Matt Lange. I have to say I've listened to this track over a hundred times already. This track reminds me that there is true beauty and art within music. Very inspiring song! This mix took me about 20 hours to put together, longer than usual. But I'm finished now at 3 a.m. hope you enjoy this one! Track List: 1. When Autumn Comes (Original Mix) - Stephen J. Kroos
Coming next will be another mix under the Tecknowlogy series. I do miss my Techno, I can't wait to do this one =) Again I thank all of you for listening, I humbly ask that you help me by spreading the word about this podcast. I would only love to have more people enjoy the music I share with you. Thanks for Listening,

Today I present you with a face melting Electro Episode! I was up until 5am last night trying to bang this one out, but I gave up after a few unsuccessful recordings. Today I got to the studio and did a brand new set and finished in one try. The main theme you hear throughout the mix is a heavy bass, or in House-persons terms "Dirty". I almost lost faith in my ability to mix Electro, but I guess I just needed a little herbal inspiration. My favorite songs in this mix would have to be a tie between the last two tracks. "White Noise" is one of my favorite Electro tracks this year, the combination of that riff and the dirty Electro sounds sends chills down your spine. Seeing Dada Life in person, at Sound-bar Chicago, blew my mind away. They were extremely energetic and had a wonderful response from the crowd. Mord Fustang look like someone who is new to the game, but his sound is very professional and creative. His track "Milky Way" has a new and fresh sound. Go on and melt your faces now, enjoy! Track List: 1. Countdown (Original Mix) - Sidney Samson, Bobby Burns
Next in line is either a Tech-House or Progressive House mix. I've got some great tracks in both genres. On the Progressive side I have a lot of cool tracks, especially from Michael Cassette and 16 Bit Lolitas. On the Tech-House side Popof and Max Bett have some great groovy tracks. Well, until then... Thanks for Listening,

For all the Techno lovers out there, this one is for YOU! This mix is banging from start to finish. The tone is very rich and dark, the sounds move your technology infested brain, and the beat turns your head into a bobble head doll. Techno is currently my favorite genre so I loved putting this one together. This time it only took two runs. There are so many great tracks in this episode it's very tough to pick out a favorite. Music is meant to be heard and experienced, listen to it loud, and if you like it, share it with your loved ones.
Track List: 1. Revolution Is Back (Original Mix) - Rino Cerrone, Markantonio
It's about time for a new Electro mix, I may have to make it an Electro/Commercial House mix because I'm lacking a lot of tracks in the Electro Dept. these days. I'll be doing some major online crate digging for those nasty tracks. Thanks for Listening,
March 27, 2011 08:18 PM PDT
I'm back with a new episode! Again I apologize for the delay, I've been on a well needed vacation and now I'm back feeling recharged. Thanks for your patience =) I actually recorded this mix before I left for vacation but I wasn't happy with the first run. After a long analysis during my vacation I was able to remove a couple tracks (sorry Mr. Prydz...) and now I feel that this mix came out just right. Like most of my mixes this one starts out pretty chill, then you start to notice the groove after a few tracks, it takes a dip into the dark sounds, builds into a tidal wave of music, then polishes off on a sunny beach. I have discovered a few great artists: Jeremy Olander, Lank, Shiftone and the amazing Michael Cassette. Listening to their tracks has brought me great inspiration, thank you!!! There is a track in this mix called "Distractions" produced by Andrew Beyer that completely blew me away. It's one of those tracks that must be listened to on a very nice set of headphones or better yet in a club, on a Funktion One sound system, 2 am in the morning, with a crowd going wild. Hope this mix will enrich your lives, whether you listen to it on your commute to work, in your office, during your work-out, or on your way to the clubs. Track List: 1. It's Simply This (Original Mix) - Tomcraft, Martin Eyerer
After looking at the track list it came as a surprise that all of the tracks are either originals or a remix from the original producer. I will try my best to get the next episode out within two weeks, I have some major track sorting to do. At this point I have a lot of techno just waiting to be mixed, but we'll see which genre decides to take the stage. Thanks for Listening,

Hey Everyone! It's been almost a month since my last post but better late than never... I took me a while to compile enough tracks where I felt comfortable making a this mix. This one definitely has the groovy Tech-House sounds that you're used to. We have a few tracks from my favorite Popof and Sebastien Leger. Btw I can't wait to see Leger play at Smartbar here in Chicago. His music has always been an inspiration to me so I can't wait! I love the last three tracks on this mix by Popof and Leger. Their unique Tech-House sounds are always full of energy and never seem to lose my interest. This isn't to say the first nine tracks aren't as good... You gotta love Gary Beck and Nic Fanciulli they always have a soulful twist on this style. Listen to this one, bob your heads, and dance! Track List: 1. Muchacha de Mar (Wally Lopez Factomania Remix) - E.M.
I've been listening to a lot of great Progressive & Electro House tracks days, more than usual. So look for the next episode to be one of those styles. I'm so excited to hear Sebastien Leger for the first time! Until next time. Thanks for Listening,
January 28, 2011 12:55 AM PST
Welcome back! For episode number 25 I have a beautiful Progressive House mix for you all. You gotta listen to this one straight through, it will really move your soul. The mix starts out with some chill prog builds up a few times, evolves, and ends with my favorite track "Optinuum" by Moguai. This track moves me... it's one of those tracks that you have to listen to over and over and over again just to satisfy your soul.
Track List: 1. Teleport (David Granha Remix) - Hernan Cattaneo, Soundexile
I tried to make a Dubstep mix, but after many attempts I failed to finish one that I was happy with. So I've decided to focus on my top 4: Techno, Tech-House, Progressive, and Electro. Also it's good news to me that I have to upgrade to a higher package in order to support all of the downloads. I thank you all again for listening, all I ask in return is that you help me promote this podcast by posting a link on your social networking sites, blogs, forums, etc... Thanks for Listening,
January 12, 2011 09:25 PM PST
Here we are again... this week I have a high energy Electro mix for all you that have been yearning for something bright. The mix starts our pretty vocal, then gets funky, before you know it the pitchy stuff comes in, and then it's polished off with some harder sounds. My favorite track in this mix is Afrojack's "Bubblegum", just when you thought he was moving onto a new sound he comes out with his new album "Lost & Found" which is filled with great new tracks. Check it out on Beatport.com or on iTunes.
1. Space Junk (Original Mix) - Wolfgang Gartner
For the next podcast, I'm in between a Dubstep or a Progressive House mix. I've been listen to a lot more Dubstep these days and I'd have to say it's been growing on me a lot more. Until next time... Thanks for Listening,
January 03, 2011 05:45 PM PST
It's the year 2011, the year of Techno Music! Welcome back everyone and hope you all had a great fun NYE. Let's kick of the new year with some great techno music. I really love the way this mix turned out, and how the energy builds up throughout the episode. My favorite track would have to be a tie between track 8 "Thinking About Mars" or track 12 "Timeline". Listen to it, feel the music, and let your imagination go.
Track List: 1. Danny Boy (Original Mix) - Joel Mull
The next podcast will be posted sooner than later. The mix will consist of Electro and commercial House sound. I already have a playlist in mind consisting of artists like Deadmau5, Afrojack, Sidney Samson, etc.... Thanks for Listening,

Hello and a warm welcome back!!! It's been too long since my last post, just about 2 months... Well I've just been taking some time off to re-evaluate things and this podcast was one of them. It's been over year since I started this podcast and I've decided to keep going with this, so I hope you all continue to listen and enjoy these mixes. To start off a new year of podcasts I present you with a tech-house/techno mix. The mix starts out pretty minimal then moves to some groovy tech-house sounds. It continues to build and becomes dark... then it mellows out and then finishes strong. My favorite track is Gone Wild by Sebastien Leger, take a good listen to this track and be amazed at the level of production Leger presents us with. You can totally lose yourself while listening to this one. Track List: 1. Machines Can Do The Work (Joris Voorn Does The Work Remix) - Fatboy Slim, Herve
For the next episode I'm thinking of putting together a dark techno mix. Again thanks for a great year!!! If you have enjoyed this podcast help me promote it by subscribing to it on iTunes, joining my facebook fan page, posting a link of my mixes on your profile pages, anything helps =) Thanks for Listening,

Hello Everyone and welcome back. I have a Progressive House mix that should stir your emotions and prepare you for a great night out! The mix starts out very chill and then builds up towards some energetic sounds. My favorite track would have to be the last, where John Dahlback presents us with some mind melding tunes. .
Track List: 1. July (Manuel Sofia Mix) - Hernan Cattaneo, John Tonks
I miss playing Tech House, so that's what the next episode will entail. Sebastien Leger has been tearing it up as always so I'm excited to put the next episode together. Tune next time and always, thank you! Thanks for Listening,
September 18, 2010 10:56 PM PDT
Welcome to the 20th Episode! I thank ALL of you for tuning in for each episode, it's been almost a year since I've started this podcast and I hope you're all enjoying it! Thanks for Listening, August 26, 2010 08:46 PM PDT
Hello Everybody, it's great to post an episode on time! As you can tell from the title I am continuing the Tecknowlogy series. Again I attempted to make an Electro/Dirty/Disco mix, but after a few tries I figured I still need more songs. With this mix I bring you some Dark Techno, then goes into what I call "Bangin" Techno, then finishes off with some Deep Techno. There are so many ways to enjoy Techno! I did this mix in one shot so I hope you all enjoy it =)
Track List: 1. 2000000 Dubs (Original Mix) - King Unique
With this mix, I am off to the Burning Man Festival out in BRC (Black Rock City) should be quite the trip. With the past 4 episodes being Techno and Tech-House I sure would like to post a mix from a different genre next time. Right now I have a Electro/Dirty/Disco and a Progressive House mix I'm working on. So please enjoy this, til next time. Thanks for Listening,
August 14, 2010 01:32 PM PDT
Hey Everyone, it's good to finally post another episode. I've been working on an Electronica/Nu Disco style mix, but after a few weeks I realized I need some more songs to fill in the gaps. So I've decided to go back to what I know best and that is Tech-House. This mix starts out with some chill Tech-House then moves into some Clicky/Groovy sounds and finishes uplifting. My favorite track is Kaiserdisco's remix of "No One Could Have Suspected" by Umek. This track has a great groove that not only moves my body but my mind into colorful thoughts. Hope you all enjoy! .
Track List: 1. Isalos (Original Mix) - And.Id
It's been a challenge to keep up with this podcast but I love providing music for everyone that enjoys listening. I'll do my best to update at least twice a month. So thanks for being patient and hanging in there! Thanks for Listening,
July 19, 2010 08:02 PM PDT
Hello again, it's been a while since my last post. Hope everyone was having too much fun to notice that I haven't posted in 3 weeks =) With this mix I wanted to share the experience I had at Space in Ibiza. Before this place I have never experienced an entire club that admires & goes crazy over Techno. I Love Techno because of the dark & deep vibe it creates. Techno may sound very simple but in actuality it's just as complex as all the other styles. My favorite track is a tie between, Julian Juweil's "Techno Corner" & Popof's Remix of "Unpleasant Surprise" these two never cease to amaze me. Hope you all enjoy!
Track List: 1. Dont Tell My Wife (Julien Piacentino Remix) - Hans Bouffmyhre
This time I'm not sure what genre I'll be posting up next. Please email me some suggestions tom@tomeeo.com =) Again I would like to thank all of you for listening to this podcast, I hope it has expanded all of your minds. Thanks for Listening,
June 25, 2010 11:12 PM PDT
Hey Everyone, it's great to be back!!! My trip to Europe was transcendent... I loved every part of it and I can't wait to go back. Ibiza is just as fun as they all say, my favorite night was when I went to the Cream opening party at Amnesia and saw Eric Prydz play for the first time. Needless to say he is now my favorite DJ and producer, his set was musically and technically flawless. If you love House Music going to Ibiza is a MUST before you die, it will change your life! This is the first mix of a series I will call Tecknowlogy. This is a Tech-House mix filled with my favorite tracks. After listening to this mix you should be able to understand the dynamics of Tech-House compared to other genres. This mix would be perfect at the Bora Bora Beach Club in Ibiza. Track List: 1. Two Dots (Nic Fanciulli Remix) - Lusine
Tune in next time as I take you into the world of Techno. After listening to some great Artists i.e. Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, Dustin Zahn etc... I have begun to understand and love this genre a lot more. I <3 Techno Thanks for Listening,
June 10, 2010 12:18 PM PDT
Hello everyone! This week I am proud to present my friends from dB (deciBel) Thursdays, Kuya & Moto, to be my very first guests to this podcast. I'm still in the middle of completing my next tech-house and techno mixes, and I'm also leaving for vacation to London, Amsterdam and Ibiza!!!! Therefore it was perfect that Kuya & Moto offered to be guests on my show =) thanks guys! I've listened to it a few times already and I really like it. It's a trance/progressive mix, my favorite track is track 12 Janeiro by Dash Berlin. I'm not a big trance fan so I thought it would be great to let you all listen to a mix that is outside of my musical range. Track List: 1. Spiral Waves – Time Runs Too Fast (Intro Mix)
Check out Kuya & Moto @ their website www.kuyaandmoto.com or subscribe to their podcast here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/tech-support/id361984132 I'll be back from Europe on the 20th with a lot of inspiration so look for the new tech house and techno mixes to drop by the end of the month. Thanks for Listening,

Hi everyone and welcome back! It seems like the current trend in House Music is Progressive. With a lot of my favorite producers creating killer tracks within this genre, they are the Movers & Shakers in House Music. I'm excited to see new artists come forth with the dawn of this trend. This mix starts out with some chill progressive-tech, becomes more uplifting, then ends with a happy sound. My favorite track in this mix is #9, Micheal Woods has an uplifting sound that I absolutely Love!
Track List: 1. Milky Way (Original Mix) - Christian Smith
This Mix is also broken down into tracks and is available at the link below:
For the next episode I will be bringing you another Tech-House mix. There is still a lot of movement in that genre and it's still the one that I Love the most! If you enjoy this podcast post it on your facespace/mybook/twitter pages, help me grow this podcast =) Thanks for Listening, Be Happy and Enjoy Yourselves. 13: Electro Meets WestMay 11, 2010 08:39 AM PDT
Hi Everyone and welcome back! I mentioned that I would post a Progressive-House mix but I decided to change my mind and go with an L.A. style Electro-House Mix. I've been to a few clubs out there and I think the crowd would enjoy this set . This mix actually starts out pretty pitchy then goes into the West Coast style at around track 13. I'm not saying this is L.A. style, just my humble interpretation from my limited experience there =) Please enjoy this, it's a fun one! Tracklist: 1. Scream Train (Original Mix) - Hatiras
This Mix is also broken down into tracks and is available at the link below:
Just like the ending of the last entry, I've decided on a Progressive-House mix for the next episode. Again this is subject to change at any given moment depending on how I feel when I press record. Thanks for Listening,

Welcome back to the 12th episode of the Tomeeo House-Cast. Just in time for the weekend is an old-school (06-07) Electro-House mix. Tomorrow night I will be attending Crobar's Last Dance, as they close their doors here in Chicago. This mix is a collection of my favorite tracks I heard while religiously partying at Crobar every weekend during the summer of 06 into 07. This mix brought a flood of nostalgia, from thinking of all the endless nights partying with friends. The song that is responsible for getting me into house music is track 18, Dirty South's remix of "The Things You Say". That track would replay in my head over and over so I had to satisfy it by listening to it over and over again. Something about the melody along with the "You you you you, You you you you, Imagine..." during the break down captivated my mind. All things must come to an end. I'm happy that I found my true passion in life, made some great friends, and collided with my Love. Goodbye Crobar... Track List: 1. Changes feat. Laura V (Dirty South Remix) - Chris Lake
This Mix is also broken down into tracks and is available at the link below:
Tune in soon, with some positive feedback on my last progressive mix and some sick ass releases from Moguai, my next podcast is leaning towards that genre again. But we'll see, that can change when the time comes. Post this podcast on your facebook, myspace, twitter, etc... pages, you can now play directly from the post. This is a great way to share it with your friends. Thanks for Listening,
April 08, 2010 12:14 PM PDT
Hi Everyone and welcome back. I apologize for the delay, I caught a minor cold a few weeks ago and quite frankly I had a hard time putting this one together. I had over 100 tracks I wanted to fit into this mix and I couldn't make up my mind for the longest time. Finally I filtered out the songs that fit the sound that I really wanted. I would consider this mix Tech-House borderline Techno. For some of you Techno/Tech-House may sound very repetitive, but give it a good listen and expand your musical horizons. It wasn't my cup of tea the first time I tried to listen to it and also took me about a year to learn to appreciate this Genre. My favorite song is track 13 "Color" by Julian Jeweil, I hope to hear more tracks from him in the future. Track List: 1. The Void (Terrence McKenna Voice Over) - Dogman
This Mix is also broken down into tracks and is available at the link below:
Tune in soon as I present you with a 2006 Electro-House mix. This next podcast will be dedicated to Crobar, as April 17th 2010 will be its last dance. Some of the previous residents will be rocking the decks for the last time. As most of you know Crobar is where I became a House Music fanatic, and soon you will get to hear the tracks that got me into all this. Thanks for Listening,

Hello all, welcome back to a new episode! The Winter Music Conference is going on right now as I write... It's 3am and thousands of people in Miami are having transcendental musical experiences. All the DJ/Producers released their best tracks, which makes this a busy month with LOTS of tracks to listen to and buy. So much good music from such talented and creative individuals. When a producer makes a track they are involving themselves in a chain of events that eventually lead to the experience of the listener. Whether that experience causes the person to sing, smile, or dance it's the producer that also creates that action, powerful huh? This week's podcast is progressive as promised and should get your blood pumping! My favorite track would have to be track 9 Swedish Beauty produced by Max Vangeli and AN21. This team has been releasing great tracks so keep an eye on them. Track List: 1. Beyond The Horizon (Original Mix) - Adam K, Soha
This Mix is also broken down into tracks and is available at the link below:
For the next episode I will go into my favorite sub-genre of tech-house, planned to be released around the end of the month. I hope to show my true colors for the next episode. Thanks for Listening,

Hello Everyone and Welcome Back, this week I have a treat for all of you! As you can see from the album art and title, I have a mix composed with all of Gui Boratto's production. I first heard Gui's music last year, right before leaving for the Winter Music Conference, when he released his "Take My Breath Away" album. Immediately his track "No Turning Back" captivated my mind, body, and soul. From that moment on Spring of 2009 will be musically imprinted with his music. After coming back from an insane week in Miami, I purchased his earlier album "Chromophobia" and again I was amazed at his artwork. Gui Boratto is another true artist that I admire, his music is very soulful, fun, and mind blowing. This mix took just two tries to knock it out, I think I'm getting the hang of this =) Track List: 1. The Verdict (Original Mix) - Gui Boratto
This Mix is also broken down into tracks and is available at the link below:
I'm still trying to fit this podcast into my weekly groove so bear with me, I'm doing my best to post new episodes consistently. I'm also planning to change from a bi-weekly post, to posting on days that end in 0 i.e. the 10th, 20th, and 30th. We shall see how that goes. For the next episode I'm feeling progressive at the moment, I've been itching to do another progressive mix since the first episode. If you enjoy this podcast help me spread the love, post this on your facebook/myspace/twitter sites =) Thanks for Listening,

Hello again, today I finally get a chance to update this podcast with a short mix I recorded live at dB Thursday http://dbthursdays.com/. This set has a great tech-house groove throughout until we get to track 6 when it gets a darker. My favorite track from this set would have the be "Fancy" where Popof does it again with a great remix of Zoo Brazil. This will be the first of many live sets you'll hear on this podcast.
Track list: 1. Mmh Hmm (Original Mix) - John Acquaviva, Olivier Giacamotto
This podcast is also broken down into tracks, available at the link below:
At the moment I have a few ideas for the next episode: John Dahlback tribute, Prog mix, Nu Disco/Indie Electro Mix. Whatever it may be, I'll do my best to have it ready in a couple weeks. I heard somewhere that it's tough for first time podcasters to surpass ten episodes, so with that in mind I'm pretty motivated to reach my tenth episode real soon. Thanks for Listening,

Hello Everyone, for the 7th episode of the Tomeeo House-Cast I bring you a compilation mix of Eric Prydz. Prydz is one of my favorite producers, I love his sound because his tracks are truly beautiful. Any song he releases I trust that it is good without even listening to it. He currently produces under a few aliases: Eric Prydz, Pryda, and Cirez D. My favorite track from this mix is track 10. Armed, this one takes me back to the Guvernment in Toronto... When I was wandering around the complex and came upon a room called the "Portrait" where the DJ dropped the track. All I remember from that night was that I was dancing non-stop till 6am then we got in our car and drove back to Chicago. The Guvernment is a MUST for anyone who lives in the U.S. and the best part is that you only have to be 19 to get in to clubs in Canada. I really enjoyed putting this mix together so I hope you all enjoy listening. Track List: 1. Balaton (Original Mix) - Pryda
This podcast is also cut up into tracks, available at the link below:
For the next episode I will bring you another tech-house mix. Tech-House is currently my favorite genre so I'm already excited for the next update. Check back in 2 weeks and I'll have it ready for you. Please post a link to your myspace/facebook/twitter pages, I've upgraded to podOmatic pro so I'm ready to support the increased bandwidth. Thanks for Listening,

Hello and welcome back, I hope everyone had a great time celebrating the New Year! Here is the second part of the Best of 2009 podcast I posted about a week ago. I wanted to post this one before last weekend but all the parties and the recovery slowed me down a bit. Part 2 is a bit more techy/proggy, starts out pretty chill with some tech-house, then ends with some smooth with tech-prog. Don't worry about these genre labels it's just a matter of opinion, anything that's House Music is good! With this podcast I hope that everyone can start to discern between each sub-genre, and get away from that "this music all sounds the same" syndrome. House Music is all about patterns which reflect our own lives, also full of patterns some more than others. Sound familiar? Wake up, take a shower, eat, go to work, work, eat, work some more, go home,

5: Best of 2009: Let's Paint With Music pt. 1 December 28, 2009 10:28 PM PST
As we come close to this year's end I go back and look for all my favorite house hits of the year. Originally I was going to post one episode last friday, but because there was so much good music I had to split this podcast up into two parts. Looking back this year, I think of all the great times I had partying and DJing. My favorite party this year was at Nikki Beach during the WMC, earlier that night the line upstairs was JAMMED pack so we had to stay downstairs for the most part. After forgetting about the line we were chilling on the beds on the beach, then I heard the distant sound of Cyan a song by Arno Cost which drew us upstairs and to our amazement a great party! My most memorable moment DJing was also during the WMC at the Hotel Victor, where I got throw down a set along with Dabruck & Klein, Arno Cost & Norman Doray, and Tocadisco! They played on my equipment

For the 4th episode we go into one of my favorite sub-genres during my earlier stages of DJing. Because of the filthy sounds and the grimy face melting bass this type of house may be considered as Dirty-Electro. Many of the tracks Wolfgang Gartner produces fall into this category. The last track on this mix, Cruelty, encompasses the sound of what I think is Dirty-Electro.
Track List: 1. Float My Boat ( Extended Mix) - Lazy Jay

Welcome back! Today marks the 3rd installment of the Tomeeo Podcast. This weeks episode, as you can read from the title, is a musical tour into the club that got all me started, Crobar. Back in fall of 2006 I visited Crobar for the first time on my birthday. I was very apprehensive at first when my friends decided to go there, but I went along because they all seemed very excited about going. I didn't even like House Music at the time, I thought it was annoying and people grew out of the whole "rave scene". But that night I was transformed into a House music fanatic! The club was different back then, 2006 was the year of Electro House compared to recently being more House/Tech-House. Crobar is the place to be on a Saturday night here in Chicago, I loved this place so much at one point I wanted to tattoo "Crobar" on my wrist! Resident Tony Arzadon throws it down every week and

Welcome to another installment of the Tomeeo Podcast. If you're in Chicago on a Friday night, Spybar is the place to be! The best thing about this place is the sound system, which has the potential to vibrate the shit out of you LITERALLY!!! From super star DJs like Dirty South to James Zabiela this place books the greatest talent. The crowd truly vibes to the music here which on a Friday night is usually techno/tech house. I <3 Techno!!!
